I’ve found it’s best to have your dog be able to sit and wait (or stay) before their session. It’s important for them to be able to sit on the backdrop by themselves without running after you!
Many dog parents are pleasantly surprised at how quickly I’m able to capture a split-second sit and stay. Just practice up beforehand and your dog should do just fine!

We get it. Sh!t happens. The Dog Photog requires a non-carpeted space for events. We bring cleaning products to clean up accidents quickly and resume the photo session as soon as possible.

Yes! All dogs must reside in the same home. This ensures that all dogs are familiar with each other and won’t be distracted by one another during each’s close-up. They also tend to listen better when they live together.
You have the option to add on an additional dog to your session (2 are included) for $75. Adding a third dog extends your session by 15 minutes to accommodate all pups, and adds 5 more images to your package.

Our paper backdrop selection varies throughout the year. Our most popular colors are light blue, black, and mint green. We also include a green turf carpet for dogs to sit on if they dislike hard/smooth floors.

We’ve all been there. You bring your pup to the spa and when you go to pick him up after his appointment, you don’t even recognize him — and the poor guy is so embarrassed he won’t make eye contact!
While we always try to accommodate last-minute snafus (whether a bad haircut or a tummy ache), I suggest scheduling your portrait session for a few weeks after a trip to the doggie spa. This way, the fresh hair cut grows out just enough to let your pet look more like himself before having his close-up!

We’ve photographed cats, guinea pigs, ferrets, and more! While we specialize in dog portraits, we're happy to offer portrait sessions to other pets. Please let us know in advance if you are want to book a session for another type of pet so we can confirm we're able to photograph them.
