Bre McGee, a food and product photographer who adores dogs, embarked on her journey, into capturing pup portraits with a twist. The story began when her own puppy, Fraser required a heart surgery at 4 months old. Bre took action by hosting a Pop Portrait fundraiser. This initiative not saved Fraser’s life, but also captured the affection of dog enthusiasts in Minneapolis. The 10 minute sessions quickly sold out in a week!

Moved by the love and encouragement she received, Bre discovered a new passion. Four months after Fraser’s surgery she introduced The Dog Photog to the world.

Bre’s photography goes beyond pictures—it reflects each dog’s personality, spirit and the special bond between human and canine. Her portraits are lively, occasionally dramatic, but always brimming with character as they capture moments that bring joy to both wagging tails and melting hearts.

When she isn't in the studio covered in dog hair, Bre enjoys reading, practicing yoga, and exploring nature with her husband and their dogs—Fraser (Westie, pictured left) and Sequoia a Lab/Bully mix.
